Are you an experienced MIG Welder, Structural Welder or Fabricator Welder with experience working on medium to heavy structural steel? We are recruiting experienced Structural MIG Welders to join a busy structural steel fabrication shop in Winsford, with immediate starts available following a successful weld test. This role would suit welders with experience in heavy fabrication, structural steel and MIG welding thick plate.
Pay & Hours
- £15.24 per hour PAYE
- £19.85 per hour CIS / Umbrella
- Overtime: £22.86 PAYE
- Overtime: £27.03 CIS / Umbrella
- Monday-Thursday: 7:45am - 4:45pm
- Friday: 7:45am - 12:45pm
The Role
Working within a structural steel fabrication shop, you will be responsible for:
- MIG welding mild steel
- Welding medium to heavy structural steel components
- Working with thick plate up to 20mm
- Producing strong, consistent fillet welds
- Working within required tolerances
- Following engineering drawings and fabrication requirements
- Maintaining high standards of weld quality and workmanship
- Working safely within a busy fabrication environment
What We're Looking For
Candidates must be:
- Time-served MIG Welders / Structural Welders
- Experienced within medium to heavy structural engineering
- Confident MIG welding thick plate
- Experienced welding mild steel
- Comfortable working within a structural steel fabrication shop
- Able to produce high-quality structural welds consistently
Experience as a MIG Welder, Structural Welder, Fabricator Welder, Steelwork Welder or Heavy Fabricator would be highly relevant.
Weld Test
The trade test is straightforward and consists of:
- 8mm fillet weld
- 10mm fillet weld
Immediate starts are available once the trade test has been successfully completed.
