TIG & Flux Core Welders Required. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled welders with experience in TIG root, Flux Core, and MIG welding to secure short-term contract work on a high-profile engineering project.
The Role
- Carrying out TIG root welding on 32-inch pipework Carbon
- Completing Flux Core and MIG welding operations on pipe sections
- Operating manipulator welding equipment where required
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and welding procedures
- Ensuring all work meets project quality and specification requirements
- Maintaining safe working practices and high housekeeping standards
- Working effectively as part of a busy production team
Inspection & Quality Requirements
- All welds will be subject to:
- Visual Weld Inspection
- Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in large-diameter pipe welding and fabrication
- Strong TIG root welding capability
- Experience with Flux Core and MIG welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld procedures
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Experience working to inspection and testing requirements
- Self-motivated with a strong focus on health, safety, and quality
