We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Waste Manager to join a major nuclear and civil infrastructure programme based in Whitehaven. This role will oversee waste management activities across the project, ensuring all waste is handled, stored and disposed of safely while maintaining full compliance with nuclear regulations, environmental standards and project requirements.
This position would suit a Waste Management professional with experience working on large infrastructure, construction or nuclear projects within regulated environments. It will appeal to someone who is confident managing waste processes, coordinating with project teams and ensuring strict compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage waste handling, storage and disposal processes across the project
- Ensure full compliance with nuclear, environmental and regulatory waste management requirements
- Coordinate with project, construction and logistics teams to ensure efficient waste management practices
- Maintain accurate waste records, reporting and documentation in line with compliance standards
- Monitor waste performance and identify opportunities to improve environmental performance and sustainability
In return you'll receive a salary up to £49k plus £5,750 car allowance, 25 days holiday, up to 8% company pension contribution and private medical insurance.
