A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a major nuclear infrastructure project in Cumbria as part of a newly secured 9-year framework. This is a rare opportunity to join a brand-new project at its inception, playing a key role in delivering one of the UK's most significant construction programmes.
This position would suit a Senior Site Engineer, Site Engineer or Section Engineer with experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, energy, nuclear, rail, utilities or other major project environments.
Key responsibilities:- Lead and mentor Site Engineers and junior engineering staff
- Coordinate construction activities and subcontractor operations within your area of responsibility
- Manage engineering compliance, quality assurance and project documentation
- Produce and maintain detailed short-term programmes and resource plans
- Monitor progress against programme and implement recovery strategies where required
- Manage technical queries and liaise with design teams to resolve engineering issues
- Oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality records and non-conformance processes
- Ensure all permits, task briefings and documentation are in place before work commences
- Support temporary works planning, implementation and compliance
- Maintain accurate project records, reports and progress updates
- Champion Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards across all site activities
Up to £75,000 basic salary, £5,000 annual car allowance, permanent position, day shifts only, 40-hour working week, long-term job security on a 9-year framework, and excellent opportunities for career progression into management within the nuclear sector.
