Introduction
ES Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join an established business based in Rochdale. The successful candidate will work on the assembly of high-quality equipment across the Food & Confectionery, Nuclear, and Pharmaceutical sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out engineering assembly activities on a wide range of specialist equipment
- Follow engineering drawings, tolerances, and assembly procedures accurately
- Assemble intricate and precision-built components to designated standards
- Complete and follow all documentation and work instructions in line with company procedures
- Perform pressure testing procedures on a range of equipment
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed, including correct use of PPE
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
- Support additional duties as requested by management
- Work on-site in the UK or overseas where required
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 qualification or City & Guilds in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar engineering or mechanical assembly role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Flexible approach to travel and site-based work
