Hours: Backshift - Monday to Thursday 2:30PM - 11:00PM & Friday 2:30PM - 8:30PM

Location: North Yorkshire DL10

Pay Rate: £17.41 per hour inclusive of 20% shift allowance

Overtime Available

Hambleton Steel are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Operative to join their growing production team on a permanent backshift basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established steel manufacturing business offering stable work, overtime opportunities and long-term progression.

Pay Rates

  • Basic Rate (including 20% shift allowance): £17.41 per hour Monday to Friday
  • Overtime: £26.11 per hour Saturday
  • Overtime: £21.76 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Efficient operation of all CNC machinery
  • Following daily processing checklists on CNC machinery
  • Monitoring machine performance, maintenance and operational requirements
  • Identifying improvements and making recommendations to increase efficiency
  • Liaising with Voortman engineers regarding machinery breakdowns
  • Working closely with Supervisors, Chargehands and the Works Manager
  • Maintaining safe and efficient working practices throughout the workshop

Experience Preferred

  • Voortman blast, saw and drill machinery experience
  • Kaltenbach Profitline fittings machine experience
  • Peddinghaus saw/drill experience
  • Previous CNC machining/operating experience within heavy engineering or steel environments
