A leading Manufacturer is currently looking to appoint an accomplished Quality Manager to uphold and enhance quality standards across its operations. This key position will be instrumental in driving compliance with industry regulations and supporting the implementation of robust quality management systems throughout the business.

Ideal Candidate Profile: This opportunity is well-suited to a highly organised and meticulous individual with extensive experience in quality management, ideally within a regulated environment. If you are well-versed in ISO 9001, proficient in root cause analysis, and have a proven ability to lead quality-focused teams, this role offers a dynamic platform for professional growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough root cause investigations into non-conforming products, applying structured techniques such as 8D and 5 Whys.
  • Lead the development, execution, and ongoing refinement of quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and participate in internal audits, ensuring that all findings are addressed through effective corrective and preventive actions (NCRs & CAPAs).
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and mentoring for quality inspectors, technicians, and other personnel involved in quality control.
  • Investigate customer complaints and manage quarantined stock or materials in line with company procedures.
  • Organise and chair regular quality meetings and oversee the maintenance of training matrices.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior quality role, ideally as a Quality Manager / Quality Director.
  • Experience in highly regulated Manufacturing sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of ISO 9001 standards and requirements.
  • Hands-on expertise in root cause analysis methodologies, including 8D and 5 Whys.
  • Strong assertive approach to drive business objectives.
  • Strong IT proficiency and solid experience with document control systems.

Location: Middleton

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £50k - £65k (negotiable - dependent on experience)

Working Hours: Full Time - Monday - Friday (early finish Fri)

Benefits: 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, Pension 9% combined, Sick pay after qualifying period.
