CNC Miller / CNC Machinist - Days
Location: Preston
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 5:30pm
Pay: 17.00 per hour
Shift: Permanent Days - 4 Day Week
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller / CNC Machinist to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking for a permanent day shift working Monday to Thursday, giving you a three-day weekend every week.
The Role
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines, producing precision-engineered components to the required specifications and quality standards.
There is NO programming required for this position.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Working predominantly with 5-axis machining
- Producing precision components to engineering drawings
- Carrying out machine set-ups and tool changes
- Checking finished components using appropriate measuring equipment
- Ensuring components meet required tolerances and quality standards
- Working with machinery including Mazak and Hurco
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced CNC machinist who:
- Has previous CNC milling experience
- Ideally has experience with 5-axis machining
- Is confident setting and operating CNC machinery
- Can read and understand engineering drawings
- Has good knowledge of engineering tolerances and quality requirements
- Is ideally time-served or apprentice-trained
- Has a strong engineering/manufacturing background
You do NOT need CNC programming experience for this role.

7:30am - 5:30pm
17.00 per hour
