We are currently recruiting for a Plant Inspector to join a busy engineering and fabrication operation. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in fabrication, welding, plant, or engineering who possess strong organisational and IT skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring tools and equipment are accurately inspected, tracked, and recorded, supporting operational efficiency and enabling costs to be correctly allocated where necessary.
The Role
Working closely with the fabrication and operations teams, you will be responsible for:
- Inspecting tools and equipment entering and leaving the fabrication department
- Recording condition reports
- Maintaining accurate asset records

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect tools and equipment entering and leaving the fabrication department
- Record condition, wear, damage, and missing items
- Maintain accurate inspection and asset records
- Use Excel, Word, and internal systems to track equipment movements and status
- Ensure documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Support the recovery and recharge of costs back to site operations where appropriate
- Liaise with fabrication, workshop, and operational teams
