Mechanical Fitters & TIG Welder - Shutdown Project

Location: Ossett, Wakefield (WF5 9AX)

Start: Monday 3rd August | 10-Day Shutdown | £30.00 per hour (CIS/Limited)

ES Recruit are looking for 3 Mechanical Fitters and 1 TIG Welder/Mechanical Fitter for an exciting shutdown and installation project on behalf of CAP Engineering & Design at a leading food manufacturing site in Ossett, Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-organised engineering project installing brand new production equipment, with excellent rates of pay, overtime and lodge allowance available.

The Project

Working between 3rd August and 12th August, you'll be involved in the removal of two existing roller mills before installing two new roller mills together with all associated feed pipework and ancillary equipment. The project will include:

  • Removal of two existing roller mills
  • Installation of two new roller mills
  • Mechanical fitting and alignment of machinery
  • Modifications to existing support steelwork
  • Site fabrication and installation of stainless steel feed pipes and spouts
  • Conveyor and powder conveying system installation
  • Working safely within an isolated food production environment

Mechanical Fitters

You'll be responsible for:

  • Removal and installation of heavy industrial machinery
  • Mechanical fitting and assembly
  • Reading engineering drawings where required
  • Assisting with steelwork modifications
  • Working alongside welding and installation teams
  • Ensuring installations are completed safely and to a high standard
