The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Structural Fabricator / Welder to join a manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator with structural steelwork and welding experience to work within a fast-paced engineering environment delivering high-quality products to demanding standards.
The Role
The successful candidate will carry out structural fabrication and welding activities, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and to high quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural fabrication work with a high degree of accuracy
- Weld steel components and structures using solid and flux-cored wire
- Carry out welding in vertical and overhead positions
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Use hand tools, grinders, mag drills, and associated fabrication equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, including use of PPE/RPE and LEV systems
- Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and housekeeping
- Complete required paperwork, inspections, and checks
- Work independently and collaboratively within the team
About You
- Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and welding
- Ability to weld to ISO 9606 qualification standards (qualification desirable)
- Experience with overhead and vertical welding positions
- Flux-cored welding experience advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset
