Employment Solutions are pleased to be recruiting for a Global manufacturing Company based in the Buxton area.
The role is to join a high-energy manufacturing team, working with semi-automated equipment to produce essential components for the automotive industry. This role involves maintaining sophisticated high-speed machinery on a 3-shift rotation system (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, and 22:00-06:00, Monday through Friday), with regular overtime opportunities paid at enhanced rates. Ideal candidates will bring mechanical or electrical qualifications (BTEC, C&G, or NVQ Level 3) and relevant hands-on experience in machine maintenance.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, hands-on professional with a solid background in mechanical or electrical engineering and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting. This position would suit a motivated team player who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has experience with automated equipment. Flexibility, collaboration, and attention to quality and process integrity are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and quick-response repairs on pneumatic and cam-driven machinery.
- Conduct fault diagnosis, tooling changes, and repairs on a range of specialised machines.
- Set up and calibrate camera systems, resistance welders, and laser printers.
- Ensure up-to-date maintenance records and documentation are accurately kept.
- Work closely with line management to communicate issues and maintain production efficiency.
Reporting directly to the maintenance manager, the role has a competitive salary from 31,227 – 41,000 per annum with overtime pay rate and comprehensive training and career progression opportunities. This will be a 38-working week with rotational shift patterns to support work-life balance. Paid holidays and additional leave for overtime work. There is also a range of company benefits, including pension schemes and health insurance.
