ES Recruit are currently recruiting for experienced Structural Steel Welders on behalf of Newbridge Engineering based in Hartlepool. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established fabrication workshop working on large structural steel projects within a heavy engineering environment.
The Role
- Welding structural steel components
- Completing fillet welds - single and multi-run
- Working with plate thicknesses from 8mm - 30mm regularly
- Working on heavier fabrication including:
- 70mm fillet welds
- 100mm butt welds
Pay Rates
£17.00 per hour PAYE £21.00 per hour CIS
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday 07:30am - 5:00pm
Friday 07:30am - 4:00pm
30-minute unpaid break daily (12:00pm - 12:30pm)
Requirements
- Previous structural steel welding experience
- Confident completing single and multi-run fillet welds
- Experience within heavy fabrication environments
- Able to work from engineering drawings
- Competent using overhead cranes
- Reliable and safety conscious

- Overhead crane test
- Weld test: 8mm single-run fillet weld
- Multi-run fillet weld on 10-15mm plate
