ES Recruit are currently recruiting for experienced Structural Steel Platers on behalf of Newbridge Engineering based in Hartlepool. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing heavy engineering workshop working on large structural steel projects with long-term work available.
The Role
- Plating and fabricating structural steel
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- MIG welding for tacking and small fillet welds
- Working within a heavy fabrication workshop
- Using overhead cranes safely and efficiently
Pay Rates
- £18.00 per hour PAYE
- £23.20 per hour Umbrella/Ltd
- Overtime Rates
- Time and a half for evenings and Saturdays until 12pm
- Double time after 12pm Saturday onwards
Working Hours
- Monday - Thursday: 07:30am - 5:00pm
- Friday: 07:30am - 4:00pm
- 30-minute unpaid break daily.
Requirements
- Previous structural steel plating experience
- Able to read engineering drawings
- MIG welding experience for tacking and small fillets
- Experience using overhead cranes
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Health & safety conscious
