Sheet Metal Worker Up to £18.50 per Hour | 36 Hour Week | Early Finish Fridays | 4-Day Week Available Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker looking to join a precision engineering environment where quality, flexibility and employee development are valued? We are recruiting for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join a well-established manufacturer supplying high-precision components into highly regulated industries, including aerospace. The Role Working as part of a skilled production team, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling sheet metal components to exact specifications, ensuring all work meets stringent quality and customer requirements. Duties will include: Fabricating and assembling sheet metal components Forming, bending and shaping materials to engineering drawings Using hand tools and sheet metal machinery Conducting self-inspection and quality checks Working to strict manufacturing standards and procedures Maintaining a safe and organised working environment What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and quality standards Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment Good understanding of fabrication and assembly techniques Highly Desirable Aerospace manufacturing experience Experience working to AS9100 quality standards Experience within a NADCAP accredited environment Previous experience producing aerospace components Hours of Work Standard Working Week - 36 Hours Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:15 Friday: 08:00 - 13:00 30-minute lunch breakAlternative 4-Day Week Available 36 hours across four days Typical hours 07:00 - 16:30 Flexible start times available by agreement Overtime Overtime is available subject to business requirements: First 10 overtime hours paid at Time and a Half Additional overtime paid at Double Time Salary & Benefits Up to £18.50 per hour depending on experience Early finish every Friday Optional 4-day working week Enhanced overtime rates Long-term permanent opportunity Modern manufacturing environment Ongoing training and development opportunitiesIf you have a strong sheet metal background and experience working within aerospace or other high-specification manufacturing sectors, we would like to hear from you.
