A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a major nuclear infrastructure project in Cumbria as part of a newly secured 9-year framework. This is a rare opportunity to join a brand-new project at its inception, playing a key role in delivering one of the UK's most significant construction programmes.

This position would suit a Senior Site Engineer, Site Engineer or Section Engineer with experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, energy, nuclear, rail, utilities or other major project environments.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor Site Engineers and junior engineering staff
  • Coordinate construction activities and subcontractor operations within your area of responsibility
  • Manage engineering compliance, quality assurance and project documentation
  • Produce and maintain detailed short-term programmes and resource plans
  • Monitor progress against programme and implement recovery strategies where required
  • Manage technical queries and liaise with design teams to resolve engineering issues
  • Oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality records and non-conformance processes
  • Ensure all permits, task briefings and documentation are in place before work commences
  • Support temporary works planning, implementation and compliance
  • Maintain accurate project records, reports and progress updates
  • Champion Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards on site
