We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join a busy Production Engineering team within a specialist manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for preparing CAD/CAM data for manufacture, programming press brake and laser cutting equipment and ensuring accurate production information is available to keep manufacturing schedules running efficiently. This position would suit someone with a background in metal fabrication or parts manufacturing who combines CAD experience with practical knowledge of press brake operations. It will appeal to someone who understands how components are actually manufactured and can use that knowledge to turn engineering designs into efficient, production-ready programmes. Key Responsibilities * Produce CAD/CAM programmes, working with 2D and 3D drawings and converting STP files into production-ready DXF files * Remotely programme press brake and laser cutting machinery to support component manufacture against project schedules * Upload and maintain accurate production information within the MRP system, ensuring data is available when required by manufacturing * Support Design for Manufacture activities, identifying potential production issues and opportunities to improve quality, safety and productivity * Identify tooling, jigs, fixtures, equipment and other manufacturing requirements while contributing to process optimisation and continuous improvement In return you'll receive a salary up to £35k and 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
