We are have an exciting opportunity to work with a leading UK-based infrastructure and facilities management firm is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer and a senior Electrical Design Engineer.
You will work on design projects nationwide from a Peterborough base, designing panel and field installations for automated control systems. This hybrid role (1-2 days a week from home) offers the opportunity to contribute across multiple client sectors, including manufacturing and government.
This position would be ideal for an electrical design engineer with a strong grounding in industrial automation, panel design, and compliance. It suits individuals passionate about engineering solutions and eager to contribute to multi-site projects while enjoying flexibility and long-term development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce electrical panel layouts and bills of materials
- Create electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and PLC I/O schedules
- Perform LV cable calculations and safety circuit risk assessments
- Prepare comprehensive technical and installation documentation
- Collaborate with site teams and lead on-site commissioning
In return you\’ll receive a salary up to £48k for a Senior Electrical Engineer, or up to £38k for an Electrical Engineer. You\’ll also receive 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and hybrid working options (1-2 days from home a week).
