We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EC&I Engineering Manager to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing business supporting complex projects within highly regulated sectors. This role will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across the full project lifecycle, ensuring compliant and safe engineering delivery from bid stage through to execution and final project close out.
This position would suit a senior engineering professional with experience managing complex engineering projects and leading multidisciplinary teams within nuclear, defence or other regulated industries. It will appeal to someone who is technically strong, commercially aware and confident driving engineering excellence, compliance and project delivery across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across project delivery activities
- Develop engineering delivery strategies, scopes of work, project schedules and resource plans
- Ensure engineering compliance with applicable legislation, standards and nuclear safety requirements
- Provide technical direction, assurance and approval of engineering deliverables and design solutions
- Support project managers with risk management, change control and recovery planning to maintain cost and schedule performance
In return you'll receive a contract rate up to £70/hour (Ltd company, outside IR35), with an initial 12-month contract based in Chorley. This is a 4 day week Hybrid role so would require you to be on site 2 days out of the 4.
