An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Quality Manager
to support the successful delivery of
complex engineering, manufacturing and construction projects within the nuclear sector.
You will ideally hold a minimum HNC in Engineering or a related discipline, with strong knowledge of
ISO 9001, ISO 19443, welding and NDT standards . Experience of
nuclear new build
requirements, RCC-M, supplier quality, CFSI prevention and continuous improvement would be particularly advantageous. You should be confident engaging with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams and comfortable travelling between UK sites.
Key Responsibilities Develop, review and maintain project quality plans, processes and assurance arrangements, ensuring procedures are effectively implemented throughout manufacturing, construction and installation activities. Manage project QA/QC activities, including welding, NDT, dimensional inspection, quality records and technical compliance, while supporting teams in resolving quality issues and achieving a Right First Time approach. Promote Nuclear Safety Culture and proactively manage Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Items (CFSI) risks, including delivering relevant training and ensuring materials, components and suppliers meet applicable standards. Manage supplier quality activities through audits, surveillance, reviews and site visits, supporting the Approved Suppliers List and ensuring supplier capabilities, materials and processes meet project and regulatory requirements. Act as a key quality contact for customers and project stakeholders, monitoring KPIs, reporting performance, investigating quality concerns and driving corrective actions, continuous improvement and successful project delivery. Requirements: Proven Senior Quality experience within Nuclear or similar ISO 19443 and ISO 9001 knowledge Eligible for SC Clearance (existing SC Clearance desirable) Knowledge of Welding & NDT
