ES Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Utilities Engineer / Maintenance Technician to join a leading FMCG manufacturing site based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to join a busy, fast-paced environment.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Regional Contracts Manager, the Utilities Engineer will provide both reactive and planned maintenance support across a large FMCG production facility. You will play a key role in ensuring all utilities and site services remain operational to support production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide reactive engineering support and planned maintenance activities
- Carry out fault finding, repairs, testing and inspections
- Support production and engineering teams with maintenance issues
- Assist other engineering trades where required
- Ensure site utility services remain fully operational
- Monitor and maintain environmental compliance standards
- Participate in on-call and emergency response rota

- Steam & Condensate Systems
- HP/LP Compressed Air Systems
- Water Treatment & Distribution
- Effluent Treatment Systems
- Chemical Dosing Systems
- Cooling Towers & Legionella Control
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Air Handling & Fixed Cooling Equipment
Candidate Requirements
- MUST HOLD CURRENT BOAS ACCREDITATION
- NVQ Level 3 or recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
- Previous utilities or maintenance engineering experience
- Strong fault finding abilities
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
- Experience using maintenance planning systems/software
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible approach to working hours and call-out requirements
Package
- £20.00 per hour PAYE
- £26.55 per hour Umbrella
