Responsibilities

• Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team
• Coordinate patient care
• Evaluate patient care and progress
• Implement an interdisciplinary plan of care
• Interpret medical test results
• Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients\’ condition
• Plan patient care
• Advise patients on health care
• Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients\’ physical and mental health
• Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
• Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories

Credentials

• CPR Certificate
• Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by the province/territory of work
