The predicted salary is between 53460 - 56730 £ per year.
There is currently one full-time, fixed term contract post until 31 March 2027, subject to review. The post holder will directly support the Climate Team on technical matters relating to the assessment of climate risk and hazards, impacts and solutions, providing options, advice, guidance and best practice to the city and council.
The position will be line managed by the Climate Programme Manager – City but will be located within a matrix structure to facilitate cross-functional and collaborative working across the broader climate team and maintain a flexible approach and the efficient allocation of resources to enable agile working in a complex, fast moving environment.
Provide technical leadership contributing to the development, delivery and periodic review of an adaptation plan for Belfast and the council to support enhanced risk resilience in key sectors that are vulnerable to climate change.
Provide technical advice and support to the work of the Climate Programme Board, the APWG, the Resilience and Sustainability Board, the Climate Commission and other relevant bodies in relation to adaptation and climate resilience, acting as an ambassador for the natural environment.
