Southern Cooling Solutions is recruiting a refrigeration and air conditioning engineer to join their small and friendly team. Located on the south coast, Southern Cooling Solutions value their team members as individuals and not just employees. Founded in 2008 by father and son engineers, Southern Cooling Solutions have been a nominated and trusted service provider for a leading fast food chain for over 15 years.
Location: Verwood, Dorset.
Hours: 40 Hours per week basic with overtime available. Standby required 1 in 4 weeks.
Pay: £18 to £22 Per Hour depending on skill and experience. Overtime paid at x1.5 after 40 hours and x2 weeknights, Sundays and Bank holidays. Paid door to door. Additional standby allowance paid.
Job Description: Southern Cooling Solutions is looking for a refrigeration and air conditioning engineer to join their growing team based in Dorset. Candidates should be highly motivated with good self-management skills and have the ability to work independently or as a team. They should be located within a commutable distance from Verwood, Dorset and be prepared to travel throughout the south coast, up to a radius of approximately 2 hours travel time. Predominately working in the leisure/hospitality sector, Southern Cooling Solutions are looking for those who have experience with a wide variety of integral and remote commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment within restaurants, hotels, pubs etc. Experience with HVAC equipment is beneficial but not essential. Candidates looking to expand their skills will also be considered, but basic commercial refrigeration and air conditioning knowledge is essential.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in reactive service, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and communications skills.
- Good electrical understanding.
- Good customer relation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organisation/self-management skills.
- High attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Respond to reactive breakdowns with fault diagnosis and repair, providing a first time fix where possible.
- Perform routine planned preventative maintenance and remedial repair work.
- Occasional assistance with installation of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
- Flexibility to work out of hours if necessary and participate in standby rota.
- Responsibility for own workload and completion of tasks.
- Delivery of work in line with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate digital service reports and records.
- Look after company tools, vehicles, and other provided resources.
- The ability to work remotely, represent the company professionally and maintain high standards of service.
Requirements:
- Qualifications of City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas - Level 2 NVQ Refrigeration and air conditioning.
- Hydrocarbon Awareness, although this can be provided.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- Live within a short commutable distance of Dorset.
