Your new role You will join a forward-thinking Science department delivering a knowledge-rich, mastery-based curriculum built around the Science Mastery programme and its 14 "big ideas." Our curriculum is carefully sequenced from Year 7 to Year 11, ensuring students develop a deep understanding across biology, chemistry and physics. From "Being a Scientist" in Year 7 to mastering complex GCSE concepts, students are encouraged to:
- Think critically and work scientifically
- Explore through enquiry, investigation and experimentation
- Challenge misconceptions and develop resilience
- Build confidence as independent, inquisitive learners
You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging, practical lessons that ignite curiosity and foster genuine passion for science. You'll play a key role in:
- Bringing science to life through hands-on experimentation
- Supporting students to succeed in AQA GCSE Combined and Triple Science
- Creating a calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment
- Contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team
