The role will cover classes during both planned and unplanned teacher absences, providing essential support across all subjects, ensuring students' learning progresses uninterrupted. By ensuring the classroom is a calm and focused environment, they contribute significantly to student achievement and advancement. Your contribution will ensure smooth delivery of an excellent education to every child, in every classroom, every day.

You're someone who has:

  • Knowledge of a range of strategies to deal with whole-class behaviour and individual behavioural needs.
  • L2 qualifications - GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4) or equivalent.
  • A university degree or equivalent level of qualification (level 6).
  • Experience of working with children and young people.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with all students.

About our school: Lift Firth Park is a vibrant, mixed secondary school for students aged 11-16. Located in Shiregreen, Sheffield, we serve around 1,200 pupils and reflect a richly diverse community, with more than a third of students speaking English as an additional language. Our school is currently undergoing an exciting period of transformational change, and we are already seeing its positive impact in the classroom, across the curriculum and throughout our culture.
