We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join Lift Charles Warren. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, helping every child to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

We are a welcoming and inclusive primary school for children aged 4-11, offering both mainstream education and a specialist provision for children in EYFS through to Key Stage 1. Our Communication and Language provision, Butterflies, supports pupils placed with us by the Local Authority. Set within extensive grounds in the beautiful village of Simpson, our school is surrounded by trees and a canal, providing a rich and inspiring environment for learning. As an HLTA, you will work in partnership with teachers to support learning, raise attainment, and promote pupils' independence and wellbeing. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will:
- Deliver planned and unplanned lesson coverage
- Plan and lead engaging learning activities and interventions
- Support teaching through marking, feedback, and lesson delivery
- Work with individuals and small groups, including pupils with SEND
- Contribute to assessment and pupil progress tracking
- Line manage Teaching Assistants, supporting their development
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-organised learning environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an HLTA qualification (Level 3) or equivalent
- Has experience working within a school or supporting young people
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of teaching and learning
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is confident leading learning and supporting colleagues
- Shows patience, resilience, and a calm, professional approach
