Are you passionate about supporting students in a creative and technical learning environment? Do you have experience in engineering, woodworking, or CAD/CAM technologies? Brymore Academy is seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of Design & Technology to join our Design & Technology department.

The Role
As a Teacher of DT, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan, assess, and report on student progress, ensuring high standards of learning.
  • Create a positive, caring classroom ethos and maintain an attractive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
  • Support students with diverse needs, including SEN and EAL learners.
  • Uphold the Trust’s safeguarding and wellbeing standards.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Are enthusiastic, flexible, and eager to contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Are confident in using ICT and interactive technologies in the classroom.

Desirable Attributes
Experience supporting SEN and EAL students. Willingness to lead or support extra-curricular activities. Evidence of continued professional development.

You’ll need to be accurate, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to work in a busy, hands-on environment. Physical effort and high concentration are essential due to the nature of the equipment and materials.
