Our Tax team is friendly, driven, and diverse, servicing clients across the country and around the world. By providing expertise in many different specialist areas of tax, they collaborate across BDO to deliver wider business solutions. As our clients’ needs and the regulatory environment evolve, you’ll encounter new problems to solve and new opportunities for growth.

You will be providing Tax Advisory services to start-ups, scale-ups, private businesses, and FTSE listed multinationals. Each of our clients has different needs, and by applying your expertise in different contexts, you’ll develop your skills and gain valuable experience throughout your career.

The tax team based in the Leeds office is 60 strong, with a corporate tax team led by three partners who have an extensive network and client base across Yorkshire and the North East of England, nationally and internationally. The corporate tax team plays a fundamental role in leading trusted relationships with a variety of exciting businesses to deliver the holistic tax service BDO in Leeds is known for.

This role will lead the tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients, with a particular emphasis on large and complex corporates with international footprints and private equity backed portfolio businesses. You will provide services including tax strategy and governance, tax due diligence, tax structuring, corporate international advice, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients.
  • Manage a substantial portfolio of clients including control of client take on and engagement, billings, and identification of opportunities to improve recoveries.
  • Develop professional relationships with clients and within the Firm.
  • Support, train, mentor, and advise more junior colleagues.
  • Lead on some projects within the team.

We are looking for someone with:

  • An in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of taxation with corporation tax specialist knowledge.
  • Project and staff management experience.
  • Experience of dealing with client senior management.
  • CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable post-qualified experience.
