We are seeking a professional and reliable Lorry Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities

  • Operate lorry with crane and other commercial vehicles in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods to various locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal condition before and after journeys.
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit, adhering to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
  • Adhere strictly to driving hours regulations and maintain a clean driving licence record.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience in a similar environment.
  • Competence in driving lorry with crane (however training will be provided with crane).
  • Strong knowledge of road safety laws, regulations, and best practices for commercial driving.
  • Excellent organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
  • A valid driving licence suitable for operating large commercial vehicles.
  • Crane Experience Preferred but not essential.
