HR and Employment Tribunal Consultant
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 FTE dependent upon experience

EML is a successful provider of HR, H&S and Employment Law services, and has been supporting employers for almost 40 years. We offer clients a commercial, no-nonsense approach and a personal service which sets us apart from larger HR service providers.
We are looking for an experienced HR and Employment Tribunal Consultant to join our team. The overall purpose of the role is to provide clients with first class support and advice in respect of any HR or Employment Law issue, and to represent clients who are faced with Employment Tribunal/Early Conciliation claims.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing clients with advice in respect of complex employment law issues and assisting the wider team as necessary.
- Liaising with ACAS in respect of Early Conciliation claims
- Acting as the client’s representative in Employment Tribunal proceedings, including all advocacy
- Drafting Settlement Agreements and related documents
- Preparing written briefings, reports and articles on HR/Employment Law topics
- Designing and delivering Employment Law training
Experience of representing clients in Employment Tribunal hearings is essential. We are also looking for an excellent communicator who will be able to provide confident advice in a friendly manner.
The ideal candidate will also:
- have a strong academic record (degree level or equivalent)
- have a good eye for detail and excellent writing skills
- be adaptable and willing to take on a range of responsibilities
- work well as part of a close-knit team
- be comfortable in identifying and progressing consultancy opportunities with new and existing clients
