A well‑established precision engineering facility in Crewkerne manufactures hydraulic systems and components for industrial applications. The focus is turning using Citizen sliding head lathes, with CNC grinding also in use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform multi‑axis turning on lathes.
  • Conduct first‑off inspection and in‑process checking.
  • Make offset adjustments as required.
  • Edit G‑code when needed; familiarity with Fanuc control is useful.

Shift Pattern

Rotating early/late shifts: 06:00–14:00 one week, 14:00–midnight the next; 37.5 hours per week. A 25% shift allowance is added on top of the base salary.

  • Strong experience with lathes (turning) more important than milling.
  • Close‑tolerance machining skills.
  • Experience with multi‑axis machines and first‑off inspection.
