The Role

A hands-on finance and accounts position within a small team.

This role carries broad responsibility across day-to-day financial administration, purchasing, stock control and business reporting — and additionally takes ownership of the key business systems that keep the operation running.

It suits someone who is comfortable taking ownership across a wide remit, works accurately under their own initiative and thrives in a varied, practical role rather than a narrow specialism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration.
  • Processing sales and purchase invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and running credit control.
  • Bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring and support for month-end processes.
  • Preparing management information and financial reports.
  • Managing the purchasing process from supplier enquiry through to order placement, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring inventory levels and coordinating replenishment.
  • Producing regular operational and financial reports and maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
  • Administering the key business systems — Zoho CRM, Manu ERP and Xero — ensuring data integrity, user support and day-to-day system management.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies across finance and operations.
  • What We Are Looking For

Solid experience in finance administration, bookkeeping, purchasing or a similar broad-based finance role.

Good working knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Strong Excel skills and a confident approach to business systems.

Hands-on experience with Xero is important for this role.

Familiarity with CRM platforms and ERP systems is also required — the business runs on Zoho CRM and Manu ERP, and this person will be responsible for their day-to-day administration.

Highly organised, accurate and comfortable managing a wide range of responsibilities independently.

  • A flexible, hands‑on attitude is essential in a small team environment
