Are you an experienced CNC Miller seeking a new and exciting role? We have an urgent vacancy with our key defence client. Our client's 4 x flex 8-day working fortnight is a particular favourite amongst the team, giving you every Friday off, to spend more time doing the things you enjoy. Up to £43,000. Monday to Wednesday 7AM to 5PM, Thursday 7AM to 4.30PM. Friday: OFF.
If you have any experience of CNC Turning then that would be of interest, but not essential. You will be working within a CNC precision machine shop environment, programming, setting and tool selection, proving out and operating multiple machine tools including multi axis machining centres with various programming languages (3 to 6 axis) to produce R&D, high value 1 off or low volume production component parts.
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
- Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings producing conforming product.
- Competent CNC Milling experience. Turning experience desirable.
- Ability to program/post process using Fanuc & Heidenhain languages.
- Understanding and execution of CAD/CAM software.
- Conversant with multi-axis machining methods (3 to 6 axis).
- Good knowledge of inspection techniques and measuring equipment.
- General engineering workshop practices and proven Manufacturing experience.
- Ability to work from written and verbal process instructions.
- Ability to work independently from concept through to completion.
