This is a senior technical sales role for an engineer who wants to stay close to the product and the customer — providing specialist knowledge, supporting design-in activity, and building long-term relationships across the UK.
The Role
- You will act as the primary technical resource across the UK sales team and customer base, supporting design-in opportunities, qualification discussions, and technically demanding projects from initial enquiry through to conversion.
What You Will Be Doing
- Providing technical and commercial support to customers across the UK
- Supporting design-in activity, qualification projects, and component selection
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities across existing and new accounts
- Attending customer sites, exhibitions, and supplier meetings
- Feeding back market intelligence on trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in a technical sales, applications, or field sales engineering role within the electronic components industry
- Strong technical knowledge of electronic and/or electromechanical components and applications
- Experience supporting customers in aerospace, defence, space, rail, or high-reliability sectors
- Demonstrated experience with passive components, magnetics, power, EMC, RF, sensors, or high-reliability semiconductors
- Full clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
Desirable
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related subject
- Familiarity with Aero-Defence-Space qualification standards
- Established relationships with Aero-Defence-Space customers in the UK
