My client is a global software organisation trusted by some of the world's most recognisable brands. As part of their continued investment in growth, they are looking to appoint a Demand Generation Manager to take ownership of lead generation, performance, and pipeline contribution. This is a role for someone who wants real accountability and the opportunity to build something that is not yet perfect.
The demand function needs structure, ownership, and clarity, and this role will play a key part in shaping how demand generation operates moving forward. Working within an agency led model, you will not run campaigns day to day but will be accountable for strategy, performance, optimisation decisions, and results. You will own the numbers and clearly articulate what is working and what is not. This is an opportunity to join a transparent business that is open about where improvements are needed and to make the role your own.
The purpose of the role is to align paid media agencies, internal teams, and sales around one outcome: the predictable delivery of qualified leads at an agreed cost. You will bring ownership where it has been missing and build a demand engine that can be measured, refined, and scaled.
- Own monthly and quarterly lead targets and overall demand performance
- Track and report on lead volume, conversion, and cost metrics across channels
- Ensure demand activity drives revenue pipeline, not vanity metrics
- Manage and challenge external paid media agencies on strategy and delivery
- Set channel strategy, budgets, and structured testing plans
- Decide what activity to scale, pause, or stop based on performance
- Define paid search and paid social strategy, audiences, and messaging
- Design and run structured tests, using data to optimise spend
- Own performance from click through to qualified lead
- Improve conversion rates across landing pages and lead journeys
- Produce clear weekly performance reporting for senior stakeholders
- Make confident, data led recommendations to improve results
This role will suit someone who is strategic, considered, and comfortable stepping into an environment that needs improvement rather than maintenance.
- Proven experience in demand generation or growth marketing in a B2B environment
- Strong experience managing paid media agencies
- Commercial mindset with confidence owning targets, budgets, and outcomes
- Comfortable being accountable and visible at senior level
- Strong understanding of funnels, attribution, and conversion performance
- Confidence making difficult decisions and challenging agencies when needed
- Experience working within software, training, or professional services environments
- Familiarity with customer relationship management and analytics platforms
In return, you will receive genuine ownership and visibility at senior leadership level, transparency, trust, and the freedom to build something properly, clear expectations and measurable success criteria, and the opportunity to directly influence commercial outcomes.
