Salary: £50,000 – £55,000

Are you an ambitious and detail-driven accountant looking to join a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice? Our client, a well-established and reputable firm based in Leicester, is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join their expanding team. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review statutory year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients

Lead and assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion

Manage VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations

Accurately complete Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns in line with HMRC regulations

Act as the main point of contact for clients, responding to day-to-day queries with professionalism and efficiency

Identify process improvements and contribute to internal audit procedures

Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of junior team members

Candidate Profile:

ACCA/ICAEW qualified (or equivalent)

Proven experience in accounts preparation, corporation tax, and ideally audit

Strong working knowledge of accountancy software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, IRIS)

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines

Demonstrated experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff
