  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, providing expert HR advice, challenge and support on people matters that impact business performance and organisational effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver people plans that are aligned to business objectives, workforce priorities and the wider HR strategy.
  • Use workforce data, insight and evidence to identify trends, diagnose organisational issues and inform decision‑making.

Your profile

You will be a credible, proactive and solutions‑focused HR professional with the confidence to operate at a strategic level while remaining close enough to the business to understand operational realities. You will be comfortable working with ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders and translating complex people issues into clear, practical action.

  • Significant generalist HR experience, including experience operating as an HR Business Partner or in a comparable senior HR advisory role.

  • Ability to interpret workforce data and translate insight into meaningful recommendations and action plans.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and employee wellbeing.
  • CIPD Level 7 qualification or Chartered Membership of the CIPD, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a complex, multi‑site, unionised or regulated environment.
  • Experience contributing to organisation‑wide HR or transformation programmes.
  • Experience of talent management, succession planning, leadership development or organisational design.
