The Quality Supervisor is to support all operational activities within the organisation with the purpose of promoting/supporting the achievement of agreed quality standards, ensuring that a customer and product focus is maintained. The role is to act as the customer conscience within the organisation, responsible for the management and delivery of the product quality performance against the approved product description, tracking and monitoring all identified KPI requirements with closure of identified non-conforming concerns within a pre-agreed time frame using approved problem-solving techniques.
The Quality Supervisor is to act as the link between the Quality staff on opposite shifts by facilitating changeover meetings and using the information from the meetings to assign tasks to the technicians, allowing a combined focus within the department to target specific issues. The Supervisor will predominately work a day shift but will have to remain flexible to work nights or a back shift as the need to provide cover arises.
The Supervisor is also to brief the Quality Manager on the discussions from the team and propose actions at the morning quality dashboard review. In the absence of the Quality Manager, the Supervisor will be acting Manager, which will include attending the morning management meetings (SIM), and if necessary, delivering the monthly quality presentation to the senior management including the business owner and delivering the monthly staff brief to all employees.

It is essential that the Supervisor is capable of data analysis and data entry as well as the use of Excel for data mining and database building.
The Supervisor will also be responsible for investigating the NCRs assigned to them in a timely manner in keeping with the KPI of 5 working days. If necessary, the Supervisor will need to engage in departmental disciplinary activities should the need arise.
