Set up in 1980, we’ve grown to become one of the UK’s leading insulated glazed unit and glass processing businesses. Operating from our state‑of‑the‑art 45,000 sq ft manufacturing facility near Burnley in Lancashire, we’re committed to bringing the latest innovations in high performance and energy efficient glass technologies to the trade. We are fully operational and experiencing encouraging increases in volumes.
Due to increasing customer demand we are looking for new team members to join our production teams at Padiham Glass either on Days, Lates and Nights shifts.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating glass processing equipment across the operation
- Handling sheets of glass and cutting it to size with the use of machinery
- Using a variety of glass cutting, toughening and moulding tools
- Manual handling and loading of glass onto stillages
- Ensuring the safe operation of all glass equipment
- Complete all relevant paperwork as required involved in day to day glass production
Requirements:
- Experience of using and working with a variety of glass is ideal, however not essential as full training will be provided
- The ability to lift and handle (sometimes heavy) materials
- A good understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- An ability to work well under pressure
- Be able to work to tight deadlines both individually and as a team
- Punctuality and reliability
Hours:
40 hours per week. Available Shifts: Monday - Friday, 06:00am until 14:00pm, 08:00am until 16:30pm, 14:00pm until 10:00pm and 10:00pm until 06:00am.
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour, plus an attendance bonus of £6 per day, plus an additional 20% salary increase for the late and night shifts.
