Padiham Glass - Glass Operative

Due to increasing customer demand we are looking for new team members to join our production teams at Padiham Glass either on Days, Lates and Nights shifts.

What you'll be doing:

• Operating glass processing equipment across the operation
• Handling sheets of glass and cutting it to size with the use of machinery
• Using a variety of glass cutting, toughening and moulding tools
• Manual handling and loading of glass onto stillages
• Ensuring the safe operation of all glass equipment
• Complete all relevant paperwork as required involved in day to day glass production

Requirements:

• Experience of using and working with a variety of glass is ideal, however not essential as full training will be provided.
• The ability to lift and handle (sometimes heavy) materials.
• A good understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
• An ability to work well under pressure.
• Be able to work to tight deadlines both individually and as a team.
• Punctuality and be reliable.

Other information:

• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Available Shifts: Monday - Friday: 06:00am until 14:00pm, 08:00am until 16:30pm, 14:00pm until 10:00pm, 10:00pm until 06:00am.
• Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour, plus an attendance bonus of £6 per day, plus an additional 20% salary increase for the late and night shifts.
