Set up in 1980, we’ve grown to become one of the UK’s leading insulated glazed unit and glass processing businesses. Operating from our state-of-the-art 45,000 sq ft manufacturing facility near Burnley in Lancashire, we’re committed to bringing the latest innovations in high performance and energy efficient glass technologies to the trade. We are fully operational and experiencing encouraging increases in volumes. We are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Team. The role works closely with the Operations Team to ensure safety and operational targets are met.

The maintenance delivery services consist of preventative and reactive work, project work alongside supporting capital investment and life-cycle work as required.

What you'll be doing:

  • Repair and maintenance of all site assets with a strong focus on first time fix and quality of work
  • Ensure all breakdowns are rectified as effectively as possible to ensure minimum machine down time
  • Seek out and implement continuous improvements to reduce the level of breakdown
  • Responsible for well organised preventative maintenance and following weekly and monthly PPM plans
  • To continually assess onsite spares and stock levels to enable servicing and repairs
  • Working in accordance with relevant risk assessments, safe systems of work and all associated H&S legislation at all times

You will have:

  • A qualification in mechanical engineering
  • A logical approach to fault finding and machine fix
  • Ability to read equipment drawings, electrical schematics and panel fault finding
  • Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic and varied production environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, be methodical and accurate
  • Health & Safety knowledge
  • 17th/18th edition wiring is desirable

Hours: Monday - Friday, 3 shift rotation (Days: 06:00 - 14:00, Afters: 14:00 - 22:00, Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 on a 2 weekly shift rotation)

Salary: Up to £23.06 per hour (£47,964 per annum) depending on experience. This includes a 20% shift allowance.
