Our client is seeking a Treasury Manager to support the Head of Treasury & ALM.
Responsibilities include:

- Management & development of Treasury Analyst
Role Description:
To manage the effective operation of the Society’s Treasury Front office reporting to the Head of Treasury & ALM. To work closely with Finance, Treasury Middle & Back Office, Risk & Compliance and the Executive to further enhance our approach to Prudential Risk including improvements to controls, policy and procedures;
- Implementation of the Treasury strategy with oversight from the Head of Treasury & ALM, to aid the delivery of the Society’s Strategic Plan.
- Management of day-to-day liquidity requirements of the Society.
- Management of day-to-day wholesale funding requirements of the Society.
- Implementation of the Society’s hedging strategy.
- Management of day-to-day collateral requirements of the Society.
- Management of Treasury Systems and Controls.
- Management of all aspects of day-to-day Treasury and Cash Management activities.
- Maintain and develop general contact with banking relationships, market counterparties and brokers.
- Maintaining key Treasury systems (e.g. Whistlebrook TMS and Refinitiv) and recommending areas of improvement.
- Continuous monitoring and reporting on market and economic conditions, reporting to the Head of Treasury & ALM, preparing management reporting for ALCO.
- Ensure adherence to dealing mandates, counterparty limits and policy limits.
- Liaise with appropriate departments, including Finance, Treasury Middle & Back Office, Business Intelligence, Risk & Compliance and the Executive regarding all Treasury issues including cash flow calculations.
- Management of the weekly Treasury meeting.
- Support the Head of Treasury & ALM in pricing for new mortgage and savings products.
- Deputise for the Head of Treasury & ALM during periods of absence.
- Management of Liquidity and Wholesale Funding.
- Implementation of Hedging strategy.
- Attend the Society’s ALCO Committee and presentation of standard agenda Treasury papers.
- Responsibility for updating Treasury procedures.
- Provide subject matter expertise to the Finance team and the wider Society in respect of Treasury instruments.
- Responsibility for maintaining and developing the Society’s Treasury systems and controls, TMS and Refinitiv, recommending areas for improvement and integration with wider Finance systems.
- Support the Head of Treasury & ALM in updating the Society’s ILAAP, Treasury Policy, Recovery Plan, Resolution Pack, Departmental Business Resumption Plan and Pricing Models.
- Support cultural change and the embedding of the Risk Management Framework within the Treasury function.
- Work with leaders within Finance to ensure Departmental procedures and working practices are continually reviewed and documented to ensure that processes are efficient and that controls are in place that are appropriate to the risk.
- Undertake ad-hoc Treasury projects as required.
Role Requirements:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience (Accounting, Finance or related field);
- Treasury qualification (Cert T - ACT)
- Experience in Treasury Front Office or financial/banking services
- Ensuring compliance with established policies
