A well renowned international wholesale commodity trading company is in the position to recruit in their treasury function due to a recent internal move. This has created an opportunity that provides exposure across a vast majority of the treasury function, spanning liquidity management, cash management, FX and IR risk management, interest allocation, collateral management and bilateral margining. This role predominantly focuses on collateral management.
Role Description
- Process cash collateral requests for payments and recalls
- Execution of letter of credit (LC) issuances and amendments to meet collateral requirements
- Management of utilisation of uncommitted facilities
- Ensuring bilateral LCs are correctly reflected within CubeLogic (margin management system) and have close communication with the margin team
- Liaison with front office to ensure collateral balances are appropriate
- Liaison with external stakeholders including banks and counterparties
- Processing of LC fees
- Producing daily, weekly and monthly reporting relating to operational activities
- Project work on process improvement and automation
- Understanding of systems, position management and MtM valuation processes
- Use business and commercial awareness to proactively seek solutions
- Understanding of treasury products to assist with risk management
Role Requirements
- Bachelor degree in with a newly (or part) qualification, preferably in accountancy (ACA, ACCA, CIMA ACT or international equivalent)
- Preferably prior experience from a blue-chip organisation, preferably from a commodities business
- General financial and risk management awareness
- Python, SQL, or Alteryx knowledge is preferable
- Visualisation tools such as Power Bi or Tableau
