We have been appointed to manage the Treasury department recruitment campaign for one of the UK’s top high impact Banks. The latest phase of this will see us offer a series of fixed term / day rate contract roles to market. All are anticipated to be for 12 month periods. This particular role will focus on core Treasury Capital Management responsibilities. Hybrid working available - You can use various UK office locations (including London) from which to fulfil your two day a week office attendance requirement.

Role Description

  • Leading and delivering the annual ICAAP
  • Leading on the identification of how financial risks could materialise and recommending ways for the bank to manage their potential impact
  • Manage the Bank’s long-term stability from a Capital risk perspective
  • Assessing developments, both external in terms of the economic environment and internal from product and proposition changes
  • Understand how changes could impact the Bank’s financial risk profile leading to recommendations to senior management committees
  • Assess any new regulatory developments to ensure the Bank can understand and manage the impact of changes
  • A key part of the role will be building and maintaining relationships within Treasury and across the Bank with the need to explain technical Capital topics to a wide range of stakeholders
  • The role may have line management responsibilities

Role Requirements

  • Experience Leading and delivering the annual ICAAP
  • Pillar 1 capital regulatory knowledge, including Basel 3.1
  • Experience of MREL resolution requirements including assessments / testing of capabilities
  • Extensive experience of Capital risk management, including a deep understanding of regulatory requirements including the production of the ICAAP documents
  • Leadership skills with a track record of delivering through a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex Capital subjects in a simple way to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Effective relationship building skills with both internal & external stakeholders
  • A willingness to take the initiative and think about impacts outside your immediate area of expertise
