Role Description
- Delivery and continual improvement of a Financial Risk oversight framework
- Review and challenge of key policy documents, such as Treasury Policy, ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery and Resolution planning on at least an annual basis or when changes are made
- Assist with the oversight and challenge of management information utilised in risk reporting
- Oversight of the definition, approach, review and challenge of the delivery of liquidity and capital stress testing (including reverse stress testing)
- Review and challenge of key financial models, including assumptions, stresses and scenarios used in those models
- Review and challenge of Pillar 3 disclosures
- Oversight of regulatory reporting, e.g. CoRep, LCR
- Review and challenge of the hedging approaches used by the Society
- Oversight of the funding plan and all proposed new funding instruments such as Secured Term funding
- Provide oversight to financial planning to ensure it is aligned to the Society’s risk appetite, e.g. 3-year plan etc
- Ensuring the Society is appropriately informed of changes to the Prudential Regulatory landscape with regard to publications by the PRA, BoE, BCBS and EBA
- Participation in projects and prudential programmes relating to financial risk management
- Provide support to the business on creating an environment where risk and risk culture is fully understood and embedded
- Support the CRO in the leadership of the Risk function
