Our client is supporting a leading insurance company undergoing a major digital transformation programme, seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance expertise and hands-on Guidewire experience. This role will play a critical part in driving insurance modernisation initiatives, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions across core insurance functions.
The successful candidate will possess deep domain knowledge of P&C insurance operations, including policy administration, claims management, billing, underwriting, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Product Ownership activities for Guidewire implementation, enhancement, and optimisation initiatives.
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for key P&C insurance capabilities.
- Act as the primary business representative for policy, claims, billing, and underwriting functions.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and prioritise requirements.
- Translate business requirements into well-defined epics, features, and user stories for Agile delivery teams.
- Manage and prioritise the product backlog to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities.
- Facilitate communication between business users, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
- Monitor delivery progress, dependencies, risks, and outcomes to ensure successful implementation.
- Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support broader insurance transformation programmes.
Extensive experience within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance sector. Proven experience working as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Product Lead within insurance organisations. Strong hands-on experience delivering projects on the Guidewire platform. Deep understanding of P&C insurance products, processes, and operating models. Experience supporting digital transformation and legacy system modernisation programmes. Demonstrated ability to define product roadmaps and manage complex product backlogs. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and business analysis skills. Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
