About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced AWS Developer to join our clients engineering team and help build secure, scalable cloud-native services. This is a fully remote, permanent position open to candidates based anywhere in the UK with full working rights.
You’ll work across a modern AWS ecosystem, contributing to new feature development, architecture decisions, automation, and performance optimisation.
Tech Stack You’ll Work With
- Compute & Serverless: Lambda, EC2
- Networking & Security: VPC, IAM, Secrets Manager
- APIs & Application Services: API Gateway, AppSync, GraphQL
- Event-Driven Architecture: EventBridge, SNS, SQS
- Data & Storage: DynamoDB, S3
- Developer & Deployment Tools: CDK, Amplify
- Monitoring & Observability: CloudWatch
- Authentication: Cognito
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop serverless applications and microservices on AWS
- Build and maintain IaC using AWS CDK
- Develop secure and scalable APIs (REST & GraphQL)
- Integrate event-driven workflows via EventBridge, SNS, and SQS
- Implement cloud-native authentication and authorisation using Cognito & IAM
- Optimise performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps functions
- Ensure best practices in monitoring, logging, and security
What We’re Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with AWS development
- Hands-on expertise across the listed tech stack
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., TypeScript, Node.js, Python)
- Experience building serverless and event-driven architectures
- Strong understanding of IaC (CDK preferred)
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be UK-based with full right to work (no sponsorship available)
