As a result of our 2026 Strategy Review, we are entering a new phase of accelerated growth. As such, we aren’t just looking for a recruiter; we are looking for a Head of Talent Acquisition to own, design, and elevate our internal hiring engine. This year, we are launching multiple Entry-Level inductions across London, Cologne, Tampa, New York, and Glasgow, alongside critical Senior Appointments that will form the bedrock of our future. As our new Head of TA, you won’t just fill seats—you will deliver the full Talent Strategy and Recruitment Lifecycle that makes our global expansion possible.
About Us
Empiric is an award-winning technology recruitment company. Our success is built on the platform we provide for our people to flourish. The approach is simple: give brilliant people the tools, support, and freedom to go and be brilliant. Our people are in recruitment to achieve their financial, career and personal goals, and at Empiric, we are proud to be with them on every rapid step of that journey.
The Role
- Own the Talent Acquisition Strategy for the business internationally. You will ensure a consistent flow of relevant talent into our international locations, while improving our Employer Brand and its reach into those markets. You will have the support of our award-winning Marketing Team to achieve this.
- Take the lead on the Recruitment Lifecycle. You will proactively source, qualify and assess applicants, ensuring we are finding the best person for each position, not just the best available person.
- Improve our Recruitment process and procedures. We believe in continuous improvement, and so you will be asked to adjust our internal interview processes to ensure we are making increasingly confident hiring decisions, while providing a market leading Candidate experience.
- Work with the Senior Management Team as their go-to Talent Advisor. As well as applicants, you will provide the Leadership Team with market insights and intelligence, hiring advice, and you expect opinion on all things internal hiring.
- Play a role in the successful onboarding of all new starters. Working closely with our Head of L&D, Head of People, IT, and Care & Compliance teams, you will ensure that everyone who starts is set up for success and has an incredible first month with us.
- You will ultimately shape and execute a Talent Strategy for Empiric that puts you at the very heart of the company’s future success. You will be driven not simply by making appointments, but by elevating the business further with each appointment you make.
We would like to see your work recognised at an industry level, and for you to be able to refer to yourself and our Talent Function as Award Winning in the not-too-distant future.
About You
With this being such an important role, for you to be successful, we believe you would require specific experience and a distinct mindset. You will have proven experience working in Talent Acquisition. A background in Recruitment Agency TA, or high-growth 'Rec2Rec' environments, is highly advantageous. Beyond that, working effectively in an environment where most of the appointments you made were into sales positions would also be a good indicator of your ability to succeed in this role.
Experience working as a single operator, or examples of where you have managed the full recruitment lifecycle. You will have support from our Head of People, and we do have several external suppliers we work with closely. But you would be the founding member of our TA team, so you must be comfortable with that level of ownership to start with. The plan is to scale the TA team in line with the growing demand we expect from the business over the next 24 months.
You will be commercially minded and able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, having worked closely with Managers and Leaders previously. This is an opportunity to own and grow a Talent Acquisition function within a company set to accelerate its growth across six global offices. It is a big job, but that should excite you, and it should be something that you feel will accelerate your career.
Our company values are Ignite, Guide and Achieve. These should mean something to you! We are open to speaking to individuals who have already started and grown TA teams successfully. We are also open to speaking to people who have demonstrated excellence in a pure TA role and are now looking to take a step up. The successful applicant will be someone who can convince us that they have the skills, knowledge, effort and attitude to own this function and help us scale.
What We Offer
- We offer a competitive executive package, tailored to the experience and seniority of the successful candidate.
- A placement bonus structure that rewards you very well for successful appointments.
- A yearly bonus tied to strategic and project goals, and overall company performance.
- Private Healthcare.
- Flexible Working Options – which includes hybrid working with a base in our London office, flexible start and finish times, and the option for an extended lunch.
- Enrolment in all of our Empiric Life Incentives – including the annual Business Services Lunch, our incredibly popular 12 Days of Christmas Incentive, and being able to qualify for spot prizes throughout the year.
- And beyond the terms of your employment, we will also offer you a terrific platform on which to be successful.
- We already have a very good record in accepted offers and would expect you to be able to improve this further. Our Values, Empiric Life and Empiric in the Community initiatives provide a strong Employer Brand for you to build on.
- You will have support from the Head of Talent, Head of L&D, Head of Marketing, Head of Data and Head of Care & Compliance to be successful in your role.
- A market-leading Recruiter Pro License on our ATS, which includes AI functionality you can train to assist you with Talent Screening and Interviews.
- Thomas Assessments will give you a full Behaviour and Personality profile on all applicants, which can help inform your judgement.
