We are seeking a Design Approver with AP1020 delegation or similar authority for a cutting-edge eVTOL aerospace project. This 12-month contract will offer the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and testing of prototype electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.

The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with at least 8 to 12 years of experience in lead design activities. Previous experience in airframe structure design engineering, particularly on eVTOL aircraft, is highly desirable.

  • Experience as a Design Approver/Signatory on aircraft structures, with a current or past AP1020 delegation or similar authority.
  • Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering graduate/postgraduate, with at least 8-12 years of experience in lead design activities.
  • Proven track record in airframe structure design engineering development.
  • Experience working on eVTOL aircraft design, build, and test is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Catia V5 and 3D Experience DMU tools.
  • Ability to define and validate design solutions for new components, assemblies, and modifications (composites and metallics).
  • Strong understanding of design compliance and the ability to generate required drawings and engineering data for manufacturing and customer submission.
  • Ideally, UK citizen or resident (5+ years), due to potential security clearance requirements.
  • Availability to work 3 days per week onsite in Filton, Bristol.

Contract Details:

  • Hourly rate: £37 Outside Per Hour
  • Contract duration: 12 months (with potential extension)
  • Work schedule: 3 days per week onsite in Bristol
